TL;DR

Head of Narrative (Gamedev): Defining and maintaining the narrative vision, lore, and character systems for a multiplayer live-service game with an accent on cultural adaptation and narrative-driven FTUE. Focus on building and mentoring the narrative team, coordinating with regional cultural consultants, and actively creating content for diverse global markets.

Location: Hybrid or office-based in Almaty, Tbilisi, or Limassol. Relocation assistance provided.

What you will do

  • Define and maintain the project’s Narrative Vision, Lore, Faction, and Character Bibles.
  • Adapt global narrative content for specific cultural regions including the US, Gulf, and LATAM.
  • Design narrative layers for regional FTUE, including story beats, quest texts, and dialogue.
  • Write event narratives, lore-related UI content, and NPC descriptions.
  • Prepare narrative briefs for the World Production team to guide player experience.
  • Build and mentor the growing narrative team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Narrative Design with a focus on multiplayer, live-service, or sandbox games.
  • At least one shipped mobile or PC title as a Lead Narrative Designer.
  • Fluent Russian as the primary working language.
  • Strong working proficiency in English for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience working on roleplay (RP) games where narrative functions as a system.
  • Experience collaborating with regional cultural consultants to create sensitive content.
