TL;DR
Deployment DevOps Engineer: Owning and improving application deployment processes across environments with an accent on automation, release lifecycle management, and reliability. What you will do
- Own the end-to-end release and deployment lifecycle from build to verification and rollback.
- Develop and support Octopus Deploy projects, lifecycles, and deployment processes.
- Implement deployment automation using Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories.
- Maintain Git-based release workflows in GitHub, including branching, tagging, and versioning.
- Build and maintain CI pipelines in GitHub Actions to trigger automated releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan releases and minimize production downtime.
Requirements
- Must be based in Portugal.
- Strong hands-on experience with Octopus Deploy and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of GitHub workflows and CI/CD concepts.
- Administration and troubleshooting skills on Windows and/or Linux hosts.
- Ability to diagnose deployment issues across application, OS, and network layers.
- Experience as a DevOps, Release, or Deployment Engineer in production environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure provisioning.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with container-based deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of VOIP components or load balancing (F5).
