Location: Global Remote (with a preference for overlapping working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST)).

Salary: $90,000 – $200,000 (USD) / €100,000 – €130,000 (EUR) depending on location.

What you will do

• Build and standardize secure infrastructure patterns across AWS and GCP.
• Establish unified identity and access management and centralized secrets management.
• Deliver secure Terraform and GitOps workflows to provide a secure paved road for deployments.
• Automate infrastructure compliance, logging, and security controls to support SOC 2 Type 2 standards.
• Reduce infrastructure blast radius through platform hardening and cloud security boundaries.
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team while remaining hands-on with architecture and implementation.

Requirements

• Recent, hands-on experience authoring and deploying production-grade Terraform for cloud security.
• Proven success leading and mentoring a small engineering team as a player-coach.
• Experience building foundational infrastructure hardening and IAM standards from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.
• Ability to partner closely with engineering teams to embed security into development workflows.
• Must be able to overlap working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Nice to have

• Experience adapting financial services or banking security standards to high-velocity environments.
• Background designing security architectures for highly distributed systems or decentralized topologies.
• Experience securing identity and access management across both AWS and GCP.
• Experience working within DeFi or Web3 environments.
• Knowledge of policy-as-code controls (OPA, CodeQL) or advanced secrets management (Vault, HSMs, MPC).
