TL;DR
Senior Acoustics Consultant (Environmental and Architectural Acoustics): Leading acoustics design and measurement projects for data centers, sports venues, healthcare, hospitality, corporate, residential, and education projects with an accent on environmental acoustics, noise control, sound isolation, and room acoustics. Focus on preparing technical reports and specifications, reviewing drawings, performing acoustic calculations, conducting field measurements and construction observations, and managing multidisciplinary projects across Canada.
Location: Remote within the Greater Toronto Area, Toronto, Ontario. Travel up to 25%.
Salary: CAD 120,000–135,000 per year, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do
- Lead or manage acoustics and multidisciplinary projects.
- Lead and support acoustics projects in Canada.
- Design and prepare acoustics reports, schedules, and specifications.
- Review drawings and perform calculations related to sound isolation, noise control, and room acoustics.
- Conduct field measurements and on-site construction observations.
- Support business development and client relationships in Canada and the United States.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in acoustics design and measurements for the built environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM field.
- Experience in environmental and architectural acoustics, particularly mechanical and power generation equipment in urban and suburban environments.
- Experience with computer modelling using SoundPlan.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
