TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech): Designing, building, and operating global cloud infrastructure for trading-critical systems with an accent on GCP architecture, Infrastructure-as-Code, and high-availability topology. Focus on building self-serve developer platforms, advancing observability, and participating in a Follow-The-Sun on-call rotation.
Location: Must be based in Japan (APAC)

What you will do
- Design and evolve GCP cloud architecture using Terraform and GitOps principles.
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes with Policy-as-Code guardrails.
- Develop self-serve capabilities and golden paths to improve engineering velocity.
- Strengthen the observability stack including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo.
- Operate GKE clusters, message brokers, and data stores at an operator level.
- Participate in a Follow-The-Sun on-call rotation and drive blameless post-mortems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or SRE roles for high-availability systems.
- Deep hands-on experience with GCP (landing zones, networking, IAM).
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code at scale.
- Significant production experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Helm.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals and observability stacks.
- Must be able to participate in APAC-hours on-call rotation.
Nice to have
- Working proficiency in Go for automation.
- Experience with security and compliance in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with trading or low-latency systems.
- Experience building internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage).
