TL;DR
Mechanical Construction Engineer (Oil & Gas): Coordinating and supervising mechanical construction activities for industrial facilities with an accent on piping, static, and rotating equipment installation. Location: Onsite in Al Manāmah, Bahrain (Bapco Upstream Field Office)

What you will do
- Supervise installation of piping, static equipment (vessels, tanks), and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, and HSE teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Support mechanical testing activities, including hydrotesting, flushing, and leak testing.
- Participate in Project Design, MOC, HAZOP, FAT & SAT, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–15+ years of mechanical construction experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, offshore, or EPC projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and NACE.
- Proven experience in construction management and commissioning practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as PMP, NACE, API, or NEBOSH.
- Valid Driving License.
