What you will do

• Drive high availability and disaster recovery strategies for core banking systems.
• Define and execute the scalability roadmap, including partitioning and sharding.
• Perform deep-dive query optimization and proactive bottleneck remediation.
• Design and manage connection pooling strategies and backup/restore automations.
• Establish monitoring architecture and define SLIs/SLOs for database health.
• Implement banking-grade security practices and compliance-aligned data handling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load production environments.
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, index design, and vacuum tuning.
• Proven experience in HA/DR design, streaming replication, and clustering.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and Linux systems administration.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance frameworks like PCI DSS or GDPR.
• Familiarity with Redis, BigQuery, Cassandra, or ClickHouse.
• Deep knowledge of secure secrets and credential management.
