What you will do

  • Review, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans for cardiovascular conditions and cardiac procedures.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, healthcare providers, employers, and adjusters to optimize medical and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Evaluate the medical necessity of cardiac treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines and clinical best practices.
  • Educate injured workers on cardiac diagnoses, medication compliance, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Coordinate modified duty and transitional return-to-work opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough case documentation and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Recent cardiac clinical experience is required (e.g., Cardiac Unit, ICU, Cardiology Practice, or Cath Lab).
  • Ability to work independently in a telephonic case management environment.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac treatment protocols, medications, and diagnostics.

Nice to have

  • Minimum of 3 years of Workers' Compensation case management experience.
