What you will do
- Deliver end-to-end backend features and integrations from specification to production deployment and monitoring.
- Ensure reliability of message-driven processing using deduplication, retries with backoff, and circuit breaking.
- Design and build new Java services using clean and hexagonal architecture.
- Implement comprehensive automated tests, including architecture tests and static analysis.
- Contribute to RFCs and conduct constructive peer design reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to solve investor-centric problems.
Requirements
- Proven experience building production backend services with modern Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of message-driven systems and brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka), including delivery semantics and idempotency.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and schema migrations.
- Experience with layered or hexagonal architecture to keep domain logic decoupled from frameworks.
- TDD mindset and ownership of code performance and stability in production.
- English: Good communication skills and written proficiency required for international teamwork.
Nice to have
- Experience with customer engagement or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable).
- Knowledge of resilience patterns for third-party integrations (timeouts, circuit breakers).
- Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with ArchUnit, Spock, or contract-first API development.
