What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end backend features and integrations from specification to production deployment and monitoring.
• Ensure reliability of message-driven processing using deduplication, retries with backoff, and circuit breaking.
• Design and build new Java services using clean and hexagonal architecture.
• Implement comprehensive automated tests, including architecture tests and static analysis.
• Contribute to RFCs and conduct constructive peer design reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to solve investor-centric problems.

Requirements

• Proven experience building production backend services with modern Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of message-driven systems and brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka), including delivery semantics and idempotency.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and schema migrations.
• Experience with layered or hexagonal architecture to keep domain logic decoupled from frameworks.
• TDD mindset and ownership of code performance and stability in production.
• English: Good communication skills and written proficiency required for international teamwork.

Nice to have

• Experience with customer engagement or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable).
• Knowledge of resilience patterns for third-party integrations (timeouts, circuit breakers).
• Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with ArchUnit, Spock, or contract-first API development.
