Cash Allocation Assistant (Finance)

What you will do

• Apply incoming cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash items.
• Support collections activities and follow up on outstanding receivables with internal stakeholders.
• Reconcile customer accounts and analyze data to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with global collection and finance teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in Credit or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong understanding of invoices, credit notes, payment remittances, and bank reconciliations.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Experience handling multi-currency transactions.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Nice to have

• Experience using Workday or similar ERP systems.
• Exposure to securities trading or working in a regulated industry.
• Experience in the maritime sector.
• A degree in Finance.
