Accounting & Tax Manager

Location: Athens, Greece

International certification and business-services organization supporting agriculture, food, tourism, food safety, sustainability, and agricultural exports across more than 100 countries.

What you will do

• Ensure accounting and tax integrity and compliance for the Greek business.
• Perform monthly closing in NetSuite, including accrual reviews, general ledger reconciliations and reclasses, intercompany reconciliations, AR/AP analysis, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare annual financial statements, Board of Directors minutes, shareholder meeting documentation, and other legally required materials.
• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely local filings.
• Coordinate tax matters with local advisors and the global team, including income taxes, deferred tax, VAT, withholding tax, and R&D deductions.
• Implement risk-based accounting policies and procedures, including cash collection policies, delegation of authority, and internal control matrices.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of audit experience, preferably with a Big Four or Tier 2 firm.
• At least 2 years of experience in a multinational company.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluency in English required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, team management, detail-orientation, and execution skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or another local chartered accountant qualification.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with IFRS or US GAAP.
