Software Engineer (C#)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (C#): Developing enterprise-level services and APIs for a leading investment platform with an accent on cross-functional delivery and secure development practices. Focus on building scalable financial products, integrating relational and NoSQL databases, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK). Minimum 50% of working time per month must be spent in the office. Initial period of full-time office work is required for new starters.

What you will do

• Develop services and APIs using C# within a cross-functional Agile team.
• Deliver enterprise backlog items while ensuring high quality and adherence to agreed timescales.
• Collaborate across the full technology stack to provide straightforward solutions for customers.
• Implement secure development practices and maintain version control via git.
• Work within an Agile and DevOps environment to deliver high-impact software updates.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong experience in C# development and API design.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI automation systems such as Jenkins and git-based source control.
• Practical knowledge of secure development practices.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester office for hybrid requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or SQS.
• Working knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and design patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration tools.
• Test-driven development (TDD) and AWS cloud infrastructure certifications.
• Previous experience in e-commerce or financial services.
