TL;DR
Data Architect (AI/Databricks): Designing and evolving a high-performance data mesh ecosystem with an accent on AI-readiness, MLOps, and Generative AI integration. Focus on bridging business strategy with technical architecture to treat data as a product and enable scalable AI consumption.
Location: Must be based in Spain (Hybrid in Barcelona with 4 days/month in office or Full remote from Spain)

What you will do
- Develop target architectures and long-term strategic roadmaps for the enterprise data platform.
- Design for AI-readiness by integrating Feature Stores, Vector Databases, and LLM orchestration into the roadmap.
- Define and govern Enterprise Data Models and Domains, ensuring they support both analytics and AI/ML workloads.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to enable "Data as a Product," ensuring reusability and self-service consumption.
- Mentor Data Engineering and Analytics teams on data modeling patterns and execution choices.
- Perform technical Proof of Concepts for emerging data platform solutions and assist in their industrialization.
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work and live in Spain.
- 5+ years of experience specializing in data, solution, or enterprise architecture.
- Expertise in Databricks (must-have) and multi-domain architectures such as Data Mesh and Medallion.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling patterns, DAMA standards, and data engineering practices.
- Practical experience with SQL, noSQL, and data integration (ETL, ELT, rETL).
- Strong understanding of data compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CDMP/DAMA, TOGAF, or CIPP.
