What you will do

• Lead the vision, strategy, and technical roadmap for the Autonomy Perception team.
• Drive advancements in object detection, classification, tracking, and prediction algorithms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Vehicle Engineering, Product, and Operations to deploy perception solutions.
• Design and specify next-generation sensor suites to maximize system performance and optimize costs.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a diverse team of talented perception engineers and scientists.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure autonomy performance and project success.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 10+ years of engineering experience with 7+ years in mission-critical software or robotics.
• PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Robotics, Computer Science, Physics).
• Proven experience leading a team of 10+ engineers.
• Deep technical expertise in multi-sensor fusion, scene segmentation, or behavior prediction.
• Demonstrated success in deploying innovative solutions in autonomous vehicles or related fields.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of management experience.
• Experience developing or using Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology.
• Previous startup experience.
