What you will do

• Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure and IaC solutions using Terraform.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using GitLab.
• Operate and evolve GCP data platform services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Manage Cloud IAM, service account design, and enforce least-privilege security principles.
• Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive platform stability.
• Develop and maintain the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), focusing on catalog entries and scaffolder templates.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with hands-on GCP administration.
• Expertise in designing production-scale GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform across multi-environment configurations.
• Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Deep understanding of Cloud IAM and security best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with ML/Data teams and communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS or managing Databricks.
• Experience with Backstage (software catalog configuration, plugin development).
• Familiarity with lakehouse patterns, medallion architecture, Airflow, or dbt.
• Professional experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Experience working within regulated financial services environments.
