What you will do

• Collaborate on software projects involving product design and backend development
• Develop, release, and maintain backend services and core infrastructure
• Lead individual project priorities and milestones to ensure consistent shipping
• Build and scale new exercise types for speaking and grammar practice
• Re-architect infrastructure to support future team success and content quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience programming in Java, Python, or Kotlin
• Solid understanding of one or more database technologies
• Must be based in Pittsburgh, PA

Nice to have

• Industry experience building high-traffic APIs using public cloud providers
• Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, or DataDog
