What you will do

• Lead the Cloud Platform team to deliver scalable AWS infrastructure 3–6 months ahead of product and enterprise demand.
• Drive annual savings by migrating data workloads to EKS and self-hosting OpenSearch.
• Consolidate legacy frontend ALBs into a single EKS-managed ALB per shard to accelerate deployments.
• Establish alignment cadences with Product, AI, Enterprise, and Security teams to drive infra planning.
• Ship automated shard buildouts via Backstage to eliminate manual toil in enterprise scaling.
• Manage a senior-heavy distributed team across the US, Canada, and Europe, spanning FTEs and contractors.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 10+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering with significant director-level experience managing distributed teams.
• Deep mastery of AWS (EKS, VPC, TGW, DNS) and Terraform at scale.
• Proven track record of setting 6-12 month cloud roadmaps tied to business outcomes.
• Strong operational rigor, incident ownership, and security-first mindset (verify-first approach).
• BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• AI/ML infrastructure experience, including GPU orchestration and model-serving infra.
• Experience with DevSecOps agents and AI-assisted IaC migrations.
