What you will do

• Analyze detection data and customer reports to improve ML model performance.
• Identify and mitigate false positive detections to increase efficiency.
• Perform binary file analysis to determine the legitimacy of files.
• Review and audit existing product detections to ensure they meet company standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams (TAMs, Data Scientists) to resolve threat detection queries.

Requirements

• Understanding of various malware types and their functionality.
• Practical experience in reverse engineering malware or malware operations.
• Proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
• Knowledge of binary file attributes, including imports, exports, and packers.
• Ability to apply analytical methods and research skills to complex security problems.
• Must be based in the USA (required for E-Verify and payroll compliance).

Nice to have

• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or incident response environment.
• Deep understanding of Windows OS internals and the Windows API.
• Knowledge of MacOS, Linux, or assembly language.
• Background in exploit and vulnerability analysis.
• Experience with threat detections specifically driven by machine learning.
