TL;DR
Dari Interpreter (Humanitarian Services): Providing accurate, impartial, and confidential interpretation for Limited English Proficient individuals and service providers across healthcare, education, community, and government settings with an accent on cultural sensitivity and client trust. Focus on delivering in-person, telephone, videoconference, and other remote interpretation while tracking assignments and completing trainings and assessments.
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, USA; in-person and remote interpretation services

What you will do
- Provide accurate, impartial, and confidential Dari interpretation for Limited English Proficient individuals and service providers.
- Interpret in clinics, hospitals, schools, community-based organizations, and government agencies.
- Deliver services in person, by telephone, through videoconference, and via other virtual methods.
- Track assignments and work hours in designated software.
- Participate in trainings and assessments and support special projects when needed.
Requirements
- Dari interpretation ability is required.
- High school diploma strongly preferred.
- Professional interpretation certification preferred.
- Relevant professional interpretation experience preferred.
- Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to build trust with clients, colleagues, and partners.
