DevOps Engineer (IoT)

Location: Must be based in Lawrence, Kansas (Office 4 days a week)

What you will do

• Support and automate enterprise data platforms and messaging infrastructure including Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch.
• Maintain the operational health and performance of databases and caching systems such as Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible to improve deployment consistency.
• Develop observability capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, and logging via Grafana and Prometheus.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Proficiency with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) or VMware.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and basic scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
