What you will do
- Lead a high-performing cross-functional agile team of 7-10 experienced software engineers.
- Shape the technical strategy and evolution of the Transport vertical and Payments domain.
- Translate functional specifications into high-performance logical technical designs and code.
- Collaborate with Product, Business, Architecture, and Data Science teams to define module strategies.
- Mentor engineers, manage performance, set goals, and prioritize team capacity.
- Drive the hiring and onboarding process for new technical talent.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java, OO design, system design, and data modelling.
- Proven experience with distributed, concurrent, and scalable systems.
- High standards for quality and technical excellence in coding.
- Ability to make fast, data-driven decisions and influence stakeholders.
- Must be based in or able to relocate to Porto, Portugal
Nice to have
- Experience with Applied AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Experimentation mindset for integrating AI-driven solutions into development workflows.
- Ability to leverage AI tools for debugging and productivity enhancement.
