Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Austin, Texas, or be able to relocate there. Hybrid work model with three anchor days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

What you will do

• Design and develop cloud-based solutions on AWS for Web/API applications.
• Implement massively scalable services and automate all system operations.
• Manage infrastructure using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Measure and continuously improve service quality and performance.
• Collaborate within an agile environment applying a strong DevOps mindset.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain global services.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience architecting, developing, and operating AWS cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS networking and core services: CloudFront, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SNS, and SQS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#) and scripting (Bash).
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Austin, Texas.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with AWS DynamoDB or OpenSearch.
• Experience with Ansible or other IaC solutions.
• Experience with distributed application architecture and development.
• AWS certifications such as Developer Associate Architect or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with AI enablement platforms.
