Native English Localization Specialist (Gaming): Editing, proofreading, and quality-reviewing localized game content across human, machine, and AI-assisted translation workflows with an accent on linguistic accuracy, cultural nuance, and consistency. Focus on evaluating translation quality, maintaining glossaries and style guides, and improving AI translation models, prompts, and post-processing logic.

Location: Onsite at Centerfield East Tower, Yeoksam, Seoul

What you will do

Edit and proofread game content translated by human translators, machine translation, and AI-assisted workflows.
Perform post-editing and linguistic quality reviews within a hybrid localization pipeline.
Create and maintain glossaries and style guides for human and AI translation workflows.
Plan and execute linguistic QA, evaluating translation quality with established metrics and frameworks.
Collaborate with translators and external vendors to maintain consistency, tone, and cultural relevance.
Provide feedback to improve AI translation models, prompts, post-processing logic, and localization guidelines.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in localization as a linguist, editor, or copywriter, preferably in gaming.
Native-level English proficiency and experience reviewing game translation content.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances in source and target languages.
Openness to AI-assisted translation workflows and emerging localization technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
Passion for video games and localization.

Nice to have

Experience using CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ.
Hands-on game localization experience as a localization specialist or translator.
Experience with MTPE or AI-assisted translation review workflows.
Korean proficiency at TOPIK Level 5 or equivalent business-level reading, writing, and speaking ability.
