Senior Field Auto Appraiser: Performing physical damage evaluations and equitable settlement negotiations for auto insurance claims with an accent on complex repair assessments and total loss analysis. Focus on maintaining shop relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing high-quality customer service in a field-based environment.
Location: Must be based in San Diego, CA
Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 hourly

What you will do
- Inspect and evaluate physical vehicle damage in the field or virtually.
- Negotiate repair costs and settlements with repair facilities and involved parties.
- Research actual cash values for total loss settlements.
- Document findings with detailed reports and photographs.
- Perform re-inspections and authorize supplemental repairs as needed.
- Assist leadership in onboarding new team members and resolving complex claims.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry.
- 10+ years of experience in auto vehicle estimating and complex repair claims.
- Must be able to pass a background check for an Independent Adjuster License.
- Strong foundation in insurance industry practices, standards, and terminology.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required for field appraisals.
