Information Technology (IT) Assistant

TL;DR

Information Technology (IT) Assistant: Providing daily technical support, hardware/software configuration, and infrastructure maintenance for a government-funded energy project with an accent on user support and system reliability. Focus on troubleshooting technical issues, managing onboarding/offboarding, and ensuring compliance with IT security policies.

Location: Must be based in and eligible to work in Ukraine. This position is hybrid (at least 60% in-office) and requires occasional overlap with US Eastern Time business hours.

What you will do

• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and messenger.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot program-owned software and hardware.
• Manage office IT equipment including printers, scanners, and network devices.
• Administer user onboarding and offboarding, including account configuration.
• Document IT activities, incidents, and prepare user training manuals.
• Support online and offline events, meetings, and conferences.

Requirements

• Must be based in and eligible to work in Ukraine.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in IT support or help desk roles.
• Fluency in Ukrainian and full proficiency in English (C1+).
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic network technologies (Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional overlap with US Eastern Time.

Nice to have

• Experience on projects funded by the U.S. Government or other donors.
• Experience with Power Automate or PowerShell.
