Senior Data Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and sustain enterprise DRM solutions aligned with the DoD Zero Trust Data Pillar.
• Configure encryption, labeling, and access control technologies for sensitive enterprise data.
• Implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection, DLP, and Insider Risk Management.
• Integrate DRM capabilities with ICAM solutions to enforce attribute-based access controls.
• Develop data protection strategies for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for the Data Team.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
• Must be eligible to maintain access to USSOCOM systems and facilities.
• Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity or information security engineering experience.
• Experience implementing DRM, IRM, or EDRM technologies.
• Strong understanding of DoD Zero Trust principles and NIST SP 800-207.
• Active DoD 8140 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP) required prior to start.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting USSOCOM or other DoD organizations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Defender XDR security solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and PowerShell automation.
• Experience with cloud security technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
