What you will do
- Design, code, test, and maintain distributed trading systems and high-performance infrastructure.
- Work on production code alongside experienced software engineers.
- Apply Agile methodologies throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Contribute to real-time, large-scale trading platforms and supercomputing environments.
- Receive ongoing coaching and mentorship throughout the 10-week program.
Requirements
- Must be based in Chicago for the duration of the internship.
- Proficiency in C++ or Python development on Linux.
- Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, daily deployment environment.
- Passion for building optimal solutions from scratch.
- Interest in hardware, networking, and OS design.
Nice to have
- Past internship or software development experience.
- Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, operating systems, or compilers.
- Experience with AI tools like Claude Code.
