Location: Must be based in Boston, MA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office).
Salary: $190,000–$230,000

What you will do
- Define and execute a multi-year strategy to modernize the traded application suite and reduce technical debt.
- Own end-to-end engineering delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes through CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization across platform, QA, and delivery functions.
- Partner with underwriting and data teams to translate business priorities into actionable technology solutions.
- Manage key technology vendors, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and performance SLAs.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and operational KPIs for the traded platform portfolio.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience modernizing complex, legacy application environments into cloud-native architectures.
- Strong background in Property & Casualty insurance, specifically traded or delegated authority models.
- Deep understanding of modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Must be able to work in the Boston office 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with Insurity, QuikSolver4, or BrightCore.
- Experience working within agile frameworks and scaled delivery models like SAFe.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
