What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend services for a customer engagement SaaS platform.
• Execute large-scale modernization initiatives, including the migration of 20+ services from Java 8 to Java 17.
• Contribute to database modernization and MySQL upgrades.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while conducting peer code reviews to ensure security and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a cloud-based environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing scalable Java backend applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 through Java 17.
• Deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher required

Nice to have

• Experience with Groovy and Gradle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience with Java version migrations or database modernization.
