TL;DR
Director, Developer Effectiveness (SaaS): Leading the strategy for delivery data capture and productivity instrumentation across Development and IS teams with an accent on ROI modeling and operational efficiency. Focus on building executive-facing dashboards, partnering with leadership to optimize roadmap decisions, and driving innovation to accelerate developer effectiveness.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Oakville, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office)
Salary: $150,000 - $190,000

What you will do
- Own the strategy for delivery data capture and instrumentation across all Development and IS teams.
- Identify waste and bottlenecks in the delivery lifecycle and translate findings into actionable priorities.
- Build and maintain productivity benchmarks using DORA and SPACE frameworks.
- Model the ROI of productivity investments for Finance and executive leadership.
- Partner with Dev and IS Directors to embed data-informed thinking into sprint planning and roadmaps.
- Develop executive-facing dashboards to track productivity trends against baselines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering effectiveness, developer productivity, or analytical operations within a SaaS or software development environment.
- Deep familiarity with productivity frameworks like DORA and SPACE.
- Strong financial and ROI modeling skills with experience building investment cases for executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and partner horizontally across engineering organizations.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from imperfect data.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling, issue tracking, or developer experience platforms.
- Prior exposure to backlog and roadmap governance in an Agile environment.
- Experience presenting productivity and ROI narratives directly to C-suite audiences.
