Security Specialist

Location: Must be based in South Korea (U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys)

What you will do

• Operate and monitor Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Perform access control duties, including verifying credentials and badges for facility entry.
• Conduct inspections of Perimeter Detection Systems (PDS) and access points to identify vulnerabilities.
• Escort visitors and unauthorized personnel through protected areas.
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of security activities and incidents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in security systems operations.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Must be able to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• English proficiency (B1 level) required for non-native speakers.
• Physical ability to perform security duties including walking and standing for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or Security Management.
• Military security operations experience or DoD facility experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (TOPIK Level 3 or higher).
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Professional security certifications.
