What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect and process data from APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Manage and upgrade data lake infrastructure including Apache Iceberg, Trino, Airflow, Spark, and Superset.
• Create and optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational KPIs.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and executive-ready reporting to translate business questions into data-driven insights.
• Implement data security and governance best practices to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into analytics platforms and identify performance improvements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, green card holder, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration (Airflow) and big data technologies (Spark).
• Experience designing and optimizing data lake or data warehouse solutions in cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern data lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Apache Hudi.
• Experience with Trino or distributed SQL query engines at scale.
• Experience with Apache Superset or similar BI visualization tools.
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting and KPI design.
