Location: Must be physically located in the UAE. This is a remote/hybrid role requiring in-person interviews and occasional office visits in Dubai.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain data stores for SaaS products within the AWS UAE region.
• Collaborate with software and DevOps engineers to implement secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and deployment automation using tools like ArgoCD.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 product availability.
• Ensure infrastructure meets strict data sovereignty and information security standards.
• Troubleshoot complex system and networking issues in a high-load production environment.

Requirements

• Must be physically located in the UAE.
• Extensive experience in 24/7 production operations for SaaS or cloud service providers.
• Strong proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data stores including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Strong understanding of system administration, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience with Machine Learning and data tools such as Apache Airflow and Flink.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with release automation tools like Jenkins.
