What you will do

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in Lakehouse and Medallion architectures.
• Implement dimensional models, Slowly Changing Dimensions Type 2, historical tracking, naming conventions, metadata standards, and documentation.
• Design semantic layers, ontologies, and taxonomies that support business-friendly data access, self-service analytics, and semantic consistency.
• Build knowledge graphs and integrate them with Lakehouse metadata and lineage tools such as OpenMetadata.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Quality teams to implement models in AWS Glue and Apache Iceberg tables and embed validation rules.
• Develop reusable modeling templates and optimize models for schema evolution, partitioning, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data modeling or data architecture roles.
• Strong experience with data modeling in Lakehouse or data warehouse environments.
• Experience designing semantic layers, ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, Medallion architecture, metadata management, and lineage tools.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin or PowerDesigner, semantic layer tools, and knowledge graph frameworks including RDF, OWL, or Neo4j.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and agile working skills, including Jira experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenMetadata or equivalent metadata and lineage tools.
• Experience in semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, or the financial services domain.
