What you will do

• Translate complex physics and engineering challenges into mathematical problem formulations.
• Build and iterate on ML models to predict physical system behavior using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Own research work-streams and manage trade-offs between model scale and data generation.
• Collaborate with ML and simulation engineers to connect research to real-world industrial problems.
• Publish findings in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.) and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Mentor colleagues and foster curiosity and initiative within the research team.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, ML, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
• Expertise in operator learning (neural operators), geometric deep learning, or generative models for spatiotemporal data.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas.
• Strong publication record in reputable venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, Nature, Science).
• Experience developing models for high-dimensional geometric or physical data.
• Must be based in Singapore or able to work in a hybrid setup in Singapore.
