Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York City, NY or Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and maintain video player frameworks and SDKs for web, mobile, and CTV platforms.
• Implement playback experiences integrated with authentication, personalization, and analytics.
• Optimize QoE metrics including startup time, buffering, and bitrate adaptation.
• Build and support real-time video pipelines for live sports and news programming.
• Integrate advertising solutions through DAI and core ad-tech systems.
• Collaborate with product, distribution, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on video technology.
• Proficiency in HLS/DASH, DRM, CDNs, and encoding/transcoding workflows.
• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience developing backend services using Node, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD methodologies.
• Must be able to work on-site 3 days per week in New York City or Englewood Cliffs.

Nice to have

• Experience with AVOD and monetization workflows.
• Background in analytics, observability, and performance monitoring.
