What you will do

• Serve as the scientific and medical subject matter expert for Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinical trials.
• Advise on study design, endpoint selection, disease activity assessments, and clinical implementation.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Product Development, Data Science, and Business Development.
• Partner with pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors on clinical development programs and scientific strategy.
• Support client engagements, proposal development, business growth, service innovation, and thought leadership.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and academic experts while monitoring scientific, clinical, and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree such as MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, clinical research, medical affairs, clinical development, or related scientific leadership.
• Deep knowledge of Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, disease activity indices, clinical endpoints, and treatment landscapes.
• Experience supporting GI or IBD clinical trials in a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or academic research environment.
• Ability to work with sponsors, investigators, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and scientific consulting skills.

Nice to have

• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Direct patient care experience with GI and IBD populations.
• Experience with endoscopy, histopathology, imaging, and other GI clinical research endpoint assessments.
• Professional network, publications, presentations, or recognized contributions in Gastroenterology and IBD.
