What you will do

• Architect and own backend services using FastAPI for HD mapping infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain frontend tools for map interaction using React, TypeScript, and Deck.gl.
• Automate complex workflows and data pipelines to support fleet scaling.
• Mentor team members on distributed systems and modern web technologies.
• Refactor existing codebases and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Knowledge of relational database design, specifically Postgres.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Experience with workflow automation tools like Airflow.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, Kubernetes, and ArgoCI.
