Product Manager, Billing (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the Billing product roadmap, quarterly goals, and success metrics.
• Partner with Engineering to build resilient billing systems with a focus on accuracy, idempotency, and monitoring.
• Optimize revenue protection through dunning, failed payment recovery, and dispute/chargeback flows.
• Define and maintain detailed billing domain documentation, including data models and event flows.
• Conduct discovery with internal stakeholders and customers to transform insights into executable PRDs.
• Lead the antifraud strategy by implementing real-time protections and monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of product management experience, including 1–2 years in a technically complex domain.
• Strong expertise in payment processing, payouts, fee models, and reconciliation.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineers on backend system design trade-offs.
• Data-driven approach to defining metrics and prioritizing impact via analysis.
• English: C1 fluency required.
• Location: Must be based in Portugal and aligned with CET time zone.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment processors like Stripe or PayPal.
• Background in B2B SaaS pricing, packaging, or self-serve account management.
• Familiarity with financial audit and compliance requirements (SOX, SOC2).
