What you will do

• Design and build scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services and components.
• Own system reliability and performance for high-traffic services, including SLO/SLA definition and capacity planning.
• Profile, benchmark, and tune critical components to resolve latency and throughput bottlenecks in systems with QPS > 10k.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and blameless post-mortems to drive follow-up engineering improvements.
• Continuously improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing), DevOps practices, and operational SOPs.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and mentor engineers to ensure high coding and operational standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with hands-on SRE, reliability, or infrastructure responsibilities.
• Proven experience tuning system reliability and performance for large-scale production services.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Network API design (REST/GraphQL), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ideally based in Taiwan.

Nice to have

• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Expertise in Nginx, HAProxy, caching strategies, and data-intensive application design.
• Background in chaos engineering, resilience engineering, and operation automation.
• Technical leadership experience mentoring engineers and facilitating agile processes.
