What you will do

• Partner with the Design System Lead to deliver the design system strategy and roadmap.
• Develop and evolve system foundations, components, patterns, and documentation.
• Create and maintain reusable components and design tokens within robust asset libraries.
• Collaborate with UX, research, engineering, brand, and accessibility teams to create high-quality solutions.
• Produce and maintain clear guidance, interaction principles, and usage documentation for components.
• Ensure visual consistency and accessibility across components, templates, and foundations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in UI, product, or digital design.
• Proficiency with Figma and component-based workflows.
• Proven experience creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
• Strong understanding of design tokens and foundational design principles.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Must be based in or able to work from Manchester, UK for hybrid attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with design-to-code, Storybook, or Zeroheight.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component-based development frameworks.
• Experience contributing to design system governance.
• Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-platform ecosystems.
