What you will do

• Provide expert compliance advice on financial regulatory reporting and risk design.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks to senior management and the board.
• Verify the effectiveness of internal management systems and governance frameworks.
• Support the establishment of internal operational rules for monitoring and investigation.
• Manage changes in laws and regulations, ensuring they are reflected in internal policies.
• Conduct internal training for employees on financial regulations and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a compliance role at a securities firm or financial institution.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
• Must be qualified as an internal control officer approved by the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA).
• Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to advise management on best practices.
