What you will do
- Assist with ethics documentation and submissions to BREB, and maintain required forms, consent materials, and subject logs.
- Screen, recruit, and obtain consent from study participants (including participants with exposure to trauma), and conduct telephone or in-person interviews as needed.
- Support experimental work: data collection and cleaning using pupilometry and other psychophysiological/behavioral measures, including wearables and specialized equipment.
- Score memories using a standardized protocol (Autobiographical Interview) and manage multi-modal databases.
- Coordinate multi-site data sharing arrangements and support post-study activities, including compensation processing and subject thank-you letters.
- Apply formulas and calculations to research data using basic statistical programs; verify database accuracy and correct records per guidelines.
Requirements
- High school graduation plus some additional training in a related field, and at least two years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to work in-person on the Vancouver campus most days of the week.
- Basic understanding of research design and analysis.
- Fundamental statistical knowledge and ability to use statistical programs and computer tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with human study participants and the research team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to work quickly and accurately.
