TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript): Design, develop, and maintain web apps and web services for LSEG Workspace onboarding and customer experience with an accent on core UI engineering, browser performance, and scalable, secure delivery. Focus on architecting and operating applications on AWS/Azure, solving performance bottlenecks, and collaborating across Product, Design, and DevOps to ship end-to-end solutions.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain web apps and web services with scalability, security, and high performance in mind.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and conduct code reviews while establishing software development standards.
- Architect, deploy, and run applications on AWS and Azure; optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance.
- Contribute to back-end architectural decisions and collaborate with Product, Design, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues; implement monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and roadmap development to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of how web browsers work, including DOM APIs, and performance (layout/rendering/GC/memory management).
- Experience with web frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud computing on AWS and Azure.
