What you will do

• Define and execute a strategic technical roadmap for scaling data pipeline capabilities.
• Lead the design and implementation of advanced features for data ingestion, transformation, and distribution.
• Unify disparate data sources into an optimized format tailored for AI training and research needs.
• Establish best practices for pipeline reliability, observability, alerting, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with robotics, ML engineering, and research teams to enhance pipeline performance.
• Mentor engineering talent and contribute to the hiring and onboarding process.

Requirements

• Must be based in or eligible to work in Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid).
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on scalable, complex data pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience leading or architecting data engineering projects.
• Expertise in DAG-based orchestration tools such as Airflow, Flyte, or Ray.
• Solid understanding of distributed processing frameworks and pipeline optimization techniques.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicle sensor data processing.
• Familiarity with third-party dataset ingestion and transformation.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks like GDPR, TISAX, or ASPICE.
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring solutions.
