TL;DR
Legal Counsel (IT Law): Advising on complex commercial and technology agreements to support business growth and international operations with an accent on IT software licensing and compliance. Focus on drafting and negotiating high-profile contracts and mitigating legal risks in cross-border transactions.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; hybrid work model with 2–3 days in the office. A valid working visa for Ukraine is required.

What you will do

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements covering IT, software licensing, services, distribution, and sublicensing.
  • Provide practical, risk-based legal guidance to Sales, Finance, Procurement, and international project teams.
  • Support compliance programs, internal policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory adherence.
  • Review tender and procurement documentation, assess legal and contractual risks, and prepare supporting materials.
  • Coordinate legal matters with regulatory authorities, auditors, banks, external counsel, and other external parties.
  • Support international and cross-border technology projects as an independent contributor.

Requirements

  • Law degree, LL.M., or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with complex legal and commercial documentation.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate procurement, tender, commercial, and cross-border transaction risks.
  • Ability to advise and influence stakeholders across functions and countries.
  • Professional Ukrainian and English, written and verbal.
  • Valid working visa for Ukraine and availability for hybrid work in Kyiv.

Nice to have

  • Experience with commercial contracts, IT law, compliance, or legal support in a business environment.
  • Contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management experience in technology, software licensing, cloud services, or related industries.
