What you will do

• Design and develop core components of a next-generation distributed event-streaming and messaging platform.
• Implement and maintain a high-scale, high-performance Kafka-protocol-compatible broker.
• Build scalable and resilient distributed services handling petabytes of data across large clusters.
• Design solutions for ordering guarantees, transactions, exactly-once/idempotence, and fault tolerance.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across the full produce-to-consume path.
• Collaborate with architects and researchers to deliver data infrastructure powering AI and analytics.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ software development and system design.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, including memory management and I/O subsystems.
• Experience developing distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and concurrency.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and distributed communication patterns.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across complex production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with message brokers or event-streaming systems.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka internals or the Kafka wire protocol.
