What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Implement high-quality code following clean code practices, testing, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Build robust, asynchronous systems using event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka.
• Optimize relational database integrations to ensure data integrity and system responsiveness.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java 8 or above.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices and optimized SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Mandatory German language skills.
• Must be based in Romania.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring Java applications.
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
