What you will do

• Operate energy centre equipment to meet KPI targets and consent requirements.
• Ensure utilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.
• Monitor plant performance, identify maintenance needs, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Carry out department-wide maintenance activities.
• Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety protocols.
• Work in sole charge of the utilities plant on a 24/7 rostered shift basis.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Canterbury, New Zealand.
• Mechanical or Electrical Trade background or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in utilities plant operation.
• Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with automated control systems (HMI) and maintenance reporting systems like SAP.
• Understanding of permit to work processes and critical risk task control.

Nice to have

• National Certificate in Energy and Chemical Plant (Enchem) Level 4 or equivalent (e.g., Marine Class 3).
• Enchem Level 3 certification.
