TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Building and managing the infrastructure powering Uswitch, Money.co.uk, and hirify.global's AI initiatives with an accent on scalable Kubernetes clusters and shared tooling. Focus on automating CI/CD pipelines, implementing robust DevOps practices, and optimizing system reliability through tools like Cilium and eBPF.

Location: Hybrid: 2 days per week in the London (Tower Bridge) office

What you will do

• Design and implement architectural decisions for the platform, domains, and overall systems.
• Manage and scale multiple Kubernetes EKS and Fargate clusters within AWS.
• Build efficient CI/CD pipelines and establish robust DevOps practices across the organization.
• Operate shared services such as Vault, Prometheus, Envoy, and OpenSearch.
• Simplify data engineering workflows leveraging Argo Workflows, Argo Events, and n8n.
• Mentor and coach engineers while shaping the ongoing technical vision of the company.

Requirements

• Experience running Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Proficiency in Golang, Helm, and Terraform.
• Production experience with Cilium, eBPF, and general networking.
• Ability to debug large, complex systems affecting a wide user base.
• Experience with AWS Multi-Account designs and tools like Crossplane or Control Tower.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from the London office 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with image vulnerability scanning and patching strategies for large systems.
